THE MACHINE

The Machine is a three-piece psychedelic stoner rock band, together since somewhere 2007. They released three full length albums sofar, their latest effort being 'Drie' (2010), was released on Elektrohasch Records.

Their live shows are loud, intense and from the heart, with room for improvisation. They often present psychedelic projections which referes to a late 60's vibe. But let there be no mistake: the band is definitely a product of its own time. Besides playing numerous clubshows troughout Europe, The Machine also appeared on the bill at a couple of important festivals, one of them being Roadburn (2010 & 2011).

MARS RED SKY

These French dust worshippers are uprising. Their universe is heavy and aerial at the same time, a good half-dozen semitones below 'normal' tuning, resulting in psychedelia with big muff pedals and plenty of reverberated guitars. Also, characteristic for their sound is the voice of Julien Pras.

Their selftitles album was recorded in the stones of the magical Spanish place called the Bardenas desert, and will be release on November 12 2012. Check the teaser for their amazing album HERE.
MRS will tour through Europe in November 2012, but we have their first, exclusive show in The Netherlands!

YAMA

Yama - a four-piece band from Tilburg, The Netherlands - is a relatively new band and focuses on heavy grooves and big riffs. Think 70's psychedelic rock, stonerrock to delta-blues, and the occasional stonermetal riff: heavy fuzzed-out stoner rock.

Their promissing self-titled EP has been noticed by many so check out their BANDCAMP PROFILE and download it for free! We think it's only a matter of time before these guys will seriously rock the rest of Europe, but first we have the pleasure to have them on MudFest. A must see live!

ELECTRIC MOON

Welcome to a real psychedelic experience! Electric Moon (hailing from Fulda, Germany) is a trio that has made quite an impression on fans of psychedelic and acidrock, playing shows on the Yellowstock and Duna Jam festivals, and sharing the stage with oa Vibravoid, Ufomammut, Electric Orange, Colour Haze, and Hypnos 69.

Eventhough the band has been around for almost two years, they have already released many cd's and LP's on Nasoni Records. Their live-set is known for some spaced out visuals and rumbling sounds, so be to catch them on one of their first shows in the Lowlands.

SUNGRAZER DJ-TEAM

One of the most succesfull and busy stoner bands from The Netherlands, as you probably know, but did you know they're darn talented dj's as well? It's partytime Sungrazer-style once they're behind the decks, so you know you want to experience this! They will be spinning the records they like, during change-overs and they'll own you at the afterparty as well.

YEAR OF NO LIGHT

We are proud to announce the appearance of one of the most influencial bands in the European shoegaze/postrock/sludge genre on MudFest. After ten years of existing, releasing classic albums and split EP's, and countless live shows, they will headline our festival on saturday.

Many have tried to translate their musical style into words but none but themselves have succeeded. That's why their music should do the talking, and if you are not familial with them yet, you should head over to their OFFIAL WEBSITE and read up, listen and experience Year Of No Light.

Their show on MudFest will be their first in The Netherlands after playing the prestigious Roadburn Festival in April of 2011. It's said to become one of the most intense experiences known in the history of venue Azijnfabriek. Be part of it!

KODIAK+N

Before Kodiak start to write a three album concept series in 2012, they decided to realize another collaboration: after the liasons with NADJA and BLACK SHAPE OF NEXUS it is the drone ambient legend N who joined them to record an impressive wall of sound this time. KODIAK’s feeling for ultraheavy monolithic compositions and N’s eclectic intuition concerning complex soundscapes add up to a perfect musical symbiosis.

These are the masters of exploring limits. An everlasting experience that will keep bashing your brain forever. And today we serve it raw!

HUATA

Sonically speaking, Huata crawled their way up from the sewers, leaving behind cohorts of toothless, hysterically laughing tramps and giant cave rats, bathing and hunting in their waste. Their ascencion led them to emerge through the ruins of a collapsed church. Gazing at the sky, all they saw were waves of gleaming steel, vomiting fire on the terrified masses. Slowly, they gathered their instruments, even digging up an old organ under the calcinated fragments of a broken cross. And then, began the mass.

The mass will be held for the first time in The Netherlands, at MudFest!

TANK86

2011 sees the release of "Rise". After five years of honing their craft and the release two EP's, the sound of TANK86 has now come to it's full momentum. Harmonised guitars and a more layered approach add more depth to the already massive sound of the band. Never losing sight of the almighty riff, pounding you into oblivion. Heavy instrumentalism. Mighty sonic blows, enlarged by the absence of vocals.

Between the slow and droning at MudFest, Tank86 will make your blood run faster. They've torn the Azijnfabriek apart before and now promissed to burn it down as well.

TONER LOW

A classic. A must-see. A must-experience. Toner Low is a psychedelic doom-band from The Netherlands, founded in 1998. They've become a well-known band in the land of Mud, due to their extensive touring throughout Europe and the UK.

A somewhat odd band, some might say, but rest assured: once this trio hits the stage, your trip has begun. No way to get around it.

SiMÓN

Since the release of their first album Slices Of You, Dutch DIY doomrock band SiMON hit the stage and shared it with bands like Torche, Pelican and Callisto.

Currently recording their second album, SiMON journeys further down the path of extremes, dynamics, layers and droney atmospheres to expand their unique raw sound.

The new album, counting seven tracks, will be available early/mid 2012. Until then SiMON will play several shows to try out their new material.

BITCHO

Hailing from the Southern Lowlands, this Dutch 6-piece is out to make the universe trip on their hypnotic, droning and monotonous grooves.
Self-released debut double album 'Toybox' (2009) sold out 200 copies in no time. In 2012 Bitcho lets itself drown deeper into the ooze to unleash a new chapter of inertness. The use of three bassguitars makes their sound so nauseating, that you will gasp for air and silence after you're done tripping and puking. Bitcho is one of the most repetitive bands from the Northern hemisphere".

DJ WALTER ROADBURN

Many know him as one of the masterminds and promoter behind the Roadburn festival, but today you will see him as one of the dj's serving you earcandy. There probably isn't anyone on this forsaken planet that has a broader taste in music so you best believe his spinning is going to be one of a kind!
